چکیده
In this study, grape marc waste from Negroamaro (a South of Italy vine variety) winery production was used to prepare biosorbents for Hg(II) removal in aqueous media. A green approach develop a proper biosorbent through two different washing procedures. particular, the common chloridric acid and greener citric were evaluated. The prepared using as agent (GM-CA) gave similar results washed with HCl (GM-HCl) maximum adsorption capacity 36.39 mg g-1. Isothermal studies revealed heterogeneous physical on biosorbents. Moreover, FTIR analysis marc-based without confirmed ionic interactions that fit pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Furthermore, no significant observed when other heavy metals, copper(II) nickel(II), previously studied sorbents, considered. Finally, reusability GM-CA also demonstrated over three cycles. Thus, preparation work can be considered suitable developing

A Comparative Study of Two Indigenous Bacterial Biosorbents for Mercury Removal from Aqueous Solutions
In the present study, the capability of dried indigenous biomass of Vibrio and Oceanimonas, was assessed and compared for mercury biosorption from aqueous solutions. It was found that both of the biosorbents reached equilibrium after 60 min of contact although the mercury sorption capacity of Vibrio was significantly more. Its sorption capacity increased from 9 to 83 ...

متن کاملMercury removal from aqueous solutions by palm leaves adsorbent
Mercury is a carcinogenic and teratogenic compound that tends to accumulate in water solutions. In this research, the removal of mercury from an aqueous solution was evaluated by using palm leaves. Experiments were performed to study the adsorption efficiency, the effect of the adsorbent amount, the balance time, the adsorbate concentration, and the pH on mercury removal. The experimental appar...
متن کاملNew Nano-Adsorbents for the Removal of Chromium (III) and Mercury (II) from Aqueous Solutions
Polyvinyl alcohol/ glycerin- magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (PVAGLPs) have been synthesized successfully by hydrothermal method. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR). The adsorbed activities of the polyvinyl alcohol/ glycerin- magnetic iron oxide nano particles (PVAGLPs) were ca...
متن کاملZinc Removal from the Aqueous Solutions by the Chemically Modified Biosorbents
Biosorbents are the natural origin adsorbents, which popularity in environmental engineering is steadily increasing due to their low price, ease of acquisition, and lack of the toxic properties. Presented research aimed to analyze the possibility of chemical modification of the straw, which is a characteristic waste in the Polish agriculture, to improve its biosorption properties with respect t...
